Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed into law reductions of income and property taxes, including a cut to the income tax rate from 5.19% to 4.99% for the 2026 tax year.

House Bill 463 also provides for an annual 0.125% reduction in the Georgia state income tax rate until it reaches 3.99%.

Kemp said at the signing on Monday that this income tax reduction builds on similar reductions in the rate in previous years.
