Georgia’s congressional delegation is split along party lines in reaction to the U.S. attack on Iran.
Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, along with the Georgia Democrats in the U.S. House, are criticizing President Donald Trump for bypassing Congress and for risking getting the country involved in greater insecurity in the Middle East. Both called for Congress to reconvene immediately.
“Trump has launched this regime change war and put American forces at risk without presenting evidence of an imminent threat, without clear objectives, without having exhausted diplomacy, without a plan for the aftermath, and without the consent of Congress,” Ossoff wrote.
