Georgia state representatives unanimously passed a bill to give taxpayers a one-time tax rebate of $250 for single filers, $500 for joint filers and $375 for heads of households.
The bill applies to those who filed tax returns for 2024 and 2025.
House Bill 1000, authored by state Rep. Matthew Gambill, R-Cartersville, passed 172 to 0. It now goes to the Senate for further consideration.
