The Georgia Supreme Court invalidated four of seven controversial rules passed by the Georgia State Election Board in the weeks before the 2024 election.

Among the rules struck down Tuesday by the state high court: two measures that critics argued could result in local election board members refusing to certify election results and another that mandated hand counting the number of ballots after the close of polls.

The court also tossed a measure requiring that family members or caregivers provide photo identification when delivering an absentee ballot of another voter in certain locations.
