Georgians voted in November to limit how much of a home’s increasing value can be taxed, but many school districts across the state are opting out of the cap, meaning homeowners may not benefit.
Georgia’s largest school districts, including Gwinnett, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Forsyth, Clayton, and Atlanta Public Schools, have all announced their intent to opt out and will hold the required public hearings.
