Inflation rates have already begun to hit the tarmac at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The airport announced on Monday that it will be adjusting its parking rates for the first time since 2017. Hartsfield-Jackson officials state that the changes are a response to the nation’s current economic climate, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the Atlanta metropolitan area rising approximately 30% since the facility’s last parking increase.
According to a press release, the airport has seen significant increases in parking-related operational costs and has taken on new debt to construct and modernize parking infrastructure.
