According to an article published by The Guardian, unmarked boxes on utility poles that contain cameras were appearing around Atlanta. The cameras appeared to be installed outside the homes of people who oppose the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, also known by activists as “Cop City.”

Timothy Pratt, an Atlanta area-based reporter says someone reached out to him, alerting him about the four cameras. He says the mysterious cameras don’t bear the names of any law enforcement agency and have a clear plastic or glass panel. Pratt says one camera was pointed at a cultural and social center and the other three pointed at homes that were raided by law enforcement last year. In the time since his report was published, Pratt says some of those cameras have been removed.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Pratt talks in more detail with show host Rose Scott about his investigative report.
