Metro Atlanta’s ‘State of Education’ report shows improvements, calls for postsecondary education support
The latest “State of Education” report from Learn4Life shows improvements in key areas like childhood literacy and middle school math, while also calling for increased support in postsecondary education guidance and job preparedness.
Published in December, the report covers data from a region with over half a million students from Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton County Public Schools and several other districts.
On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Learn4Life executive director Ken Zeff shared the report’s highlights and some of the paths forward for improvement.
Zeff, who serves as a new board member for Atlanta Public Schools, also shared takeaways from Learn4Life’s first Interest and Aptitude Assessment report that studied the readiness of local students for various job industries.
