As more corporations abandon diversity, equity and inclusion programs, Attorney Gerald Griggs, the president of the NAACP Georgia State Conference, says now is the time to take a stand.

He says there are tons of Black businesses in Georgia and in other states that need support.

As a featured guest on Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Griggs spoke with host Rose Scott about the buying power of African Americans and stressed the importance of big-box retailers staying true to their DEI initiatives that they pledged in the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd.
