After more than 40 years, National Right to Life is cutting ties with its Georgia pro-life affiliate. Over the weekend, National Right to Life announced the organization is dropping Georgia Right to Life. Instead, the national organization will back the Georgia Life Alliance, which is based out of Rome, Georgia.
In a statement, National Right to Life said, “by its own actions Georgia Right to Life ruptured its relationship” with the organization. One of the examples given was a bill passed by the U.S. House last year to ban abortions at and after 20 weeks of pregnancy. National Right to Life said Georgia Right to Life demanded Representatives vote against the bill, which it said was “top-priority federal legislation.”
