This year marks the 50th anniversary of one of Georgia music’s most important albums, one that defined a generation – the Allman Brothers’ “Brothers and Sisters.”
To honor the milestone, musician, historian and author Alan Paul explores the band’s history in a new book, “Brothers and Sisters: the Allman Brothers Band and the Album that Defined the ‘70s.” Marking the book’s release on July 28 at City Winery, Alan Paul will lead a conversation about the Allman Brothers and how they made musical and political history, followed by a live music tribute to the band.
In this interview, Alan Paul joins “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to share a glimpse into the untold history of the Allman Brothers.
