Atlanta-based attorney Chanel T. Rowe’s life changed unexpectedly in 2019. Her mother became ill, and Rowe became her primary caregiver. For the past six years, Rowe has had to navigate the layered experiences of her work life, her personal life and her life as a caregiver.

Data from the National Alliance for Caregiving reveals that 1 in 4 adults in the U.S. are caregivers. That’s approximately 63 million people. Along with caring for a loved one, many caregivers are juggling careers and other responsibilities. This has amounted to Georgia being ranked the fourth-highest state in the nation for caregiver burnout, according to Seniorly.

Rowe, a caregiver advocate, is now sharing all that she’s learned on her caregiving journey in her new book, “Finding Balance: A Devotional to Help Caregivers Move from Suffering to Strength.”
