Big changes are coming to one of the largest nonprofit, nonpartisan civic engagement organizations in the state of Georgia.

Nsé Ufot, the CEO of the New Georgia Project and its affiliate, New Georgia Project Action Fund, is stepping down from her post following the mid-term elections.

On Friday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Ufot told program host Rose Scott that she’s done an extraordinary job leading the organization but admitted that she would have liked to have done a better job growing its donor base.

The Georgia Tech alumna further explained that she’s stepping down now because she feels it’s time, that she’s open to new opportunities and looking forward to writing a book.

“We’ve all been inspired by leader Abrams,” said Ufot.
