Residents of south Fulton County will soon have more access to emergency medical care. On Monday, Grady Health System leaders, state lawmakers and Fulton County officials gathered to cut the ribbon on a new freestanding emergency department.
The Grady South Emergency Department is a 20,000 square-foot facility in Union City.
“This was a vision that will end the inequities in healthcare access and outcomes for those who make their home in south Fulton County. It’s a vision that creates a first class healthcare complex for south Fulton County. And it’s a vision that will create permanent, high-paying medical jobs and plant the seeds of lasting economic development in south Fulton County,” said Fulton County Commission Chair Robb Pitts.
