Oglethorpe 2025 grad sets sight on consulting, earning a PhD, and helping women in Kenya

Ivy Nganga enjoys learning, solving problems and making recommendations. At the age of five, she and her family moved to the U.S. from Kenya. She has always valued education and understood that she could accomplish her dreams through hard work, goal setting and the support of her family.

The 2025 Oglethorpe University graduate, who majored in economics and minored in math, is gearing up to start a new role with the consulting firm Accenture.

For “Closer Look’s” Class of 2025 graduation series, Nganga talks with show host Rose Scott about her academic journey, including plans to pursue a PhD and her long-term aspirations to help women in Kenya.
