Partnership for Southern Equity continues the work of advancing racial equity

Nathaniel Smith, the founder and Chief Equity Officer for Partnership for Southern Equity, defines systemic racism as the structural influence that is used to determine the hierarchy of value based on a person’s skin.

“Racism continues to be a key anchor, unfortunately, for the inequities and injustices that communities of color continue to face, said Smith on Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look.”

During the conversation, Smith further talked about the organization’s top priorities for 2023 and how his organization is working to make sure people, regardless of their zip code and race, have access to reach their full potential.
