Hollins, who is a licensed clinical psychologist and award-winning author for her work in social justice, describes institutional racism as a combination of prejudice and social power.

“When I think about intuitional racism, I think of the prejudices that we hold based on our stereotypes, and the social power that we have to influence them in our institutions,” said Hollins on Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look.”

During the conversation, Hollins, the author of “Inside Out: The Equity Leader’s Guide to Undoing Institutional Racism,” talked with show host Rose Scott about deconstructing and moving beyond institutional racism in the workplace.
