Public memorial service scheduled for DeKalb officer killed in CDC shooting

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County is planning a public memorial for Officer David Rose, who died in an Aug. 8 attack on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

His family held a private funeral on Sunday, Aug. 17.

The public memorial will be Friday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m. It will be held at First Baptist Church, Atlanta, 4400 North Peachtree Road.

The service will also be live-streamed on dctvchannel23.tv.
