Savannah Port To Welcome Another Record-Breaking Cargo Ship

The CMA CGM Theodore Roosevelt is shown Monday at the Virginia International Gateway in Norfolk, breaking the record for largest container ship to visit the Port of Virginia and the East Coast. The ship is set to arrive Friday at the Port of Savannah.

The French-owned ship CMA CGM Theodore Roosevelt was scheduled to arrive Friday afternoon in Savannah. The massive ship measures 1,200 feet long and can carry up to 14,400 cargo containers that are 20 feet long apiece.
