Democrats running for Georgia’s 13th Congressional District now have an open seat. This comes after the incumbent, Congressman David Scott, passed away weeks before the primaries.

The six candidates highlighted their priorities during an Atlanta Press Club debate on April 27, expressing views on healthcare, public safety and affordability.

Among the candidates is Everton Blair Jr., a former Gwinnett County School Board chairman who says that he wants to address housing affordability among young adults if elected.
