Along Langston Avenue, the sun bounces off hundreds of blue hard hats as folks with tool belts hammer and saw wood for a row of soon-to-be homes.
Here, the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project is underway. The effort is a week-long venture, May 3-8, that will produce houses for 24 homeowners in Sylvan Hills, a southwest Atlanta neighborhood.
And it’s back in Atlanta for the first time since 1988.
