Atlanta’s Center for Puppetry Arts celebrated Jim Henson’s legacy on Saturday with a special screening of “The Muppet Movie,” featuring behind-the-scenes insights from puppeteers Jason Hines and Raymond Carr in conversation with Lois Reitzes on a special, live edition of “City Lights.”
The longtime staffers at the Center and Henson collaborators offered a rare look at the groundbreaking puppetry techniques that brought Kermit, Miss Piggy and the gang to life.
Carr, a resident puppeteer with the Jim Henson Company, reflected on the technological innovations that made “The Muppet Movie” revolutionary.
