The House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol is holding a final public meeting Monday to discuss and vote on possible criminal referrals. The bipartisan panel is poised to recommend charges against former President Donald Trump and potentially others who aided in his efforts to try to overturn the 2020 election.

The committee will dissolve on Jan. 3 with the new Republican-led House, and the Justice Department will ultimately decide whether to prosecute Trump or others.
