The 140th Morehouse College Commencement is taking place on Sunday, May 19 at 9 a.m. on the school’s Century Campus. President Joe Biden will deliver the commencement address at the event.
Some students and others have expressed concerns about Biden’s visit, particularly due to his support of Israel in the ongoing conflict in Gaza. That issue has led to student and faculty protests at campuses throughout the U.S. in recent months.
Morehouse President David A. Thomas, Provost Kendrick Brown and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Willie Woods will confer degrees upon the students at Sunday’s commencement.
