Yakou Daniel N’Guessan is a jazz drummer, composer, and producer from the Ivory Coast of Africa. His work primarily focuses on world music.
“World music encompasses various music styles from different cultures of regions across the globe,” said N’Guessan. “It often involves traditional, folk and ethnic music that highlights the unique characteristic and heritage of diverse communities.”
He began playing music at a young age in church, then continued his education at the Music Institute in the Ivory Coast, where he has a degree in music production and contemporary jazz. N’Guessan enjoys calling Atlanta home due to its lively music scene and diverse culture, which resonates with his own experiences.
