Zac Brown Band’s John Driskell Hopkins shares new music and hope amid ALS diagnosis

“I am going to sing through it,” John Driskell Hopkins recently told CBS News.

Hopkins, the longtime bassist, guitarist, vocalist and co-writer of the multiple Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band, announced in 2022 to fans that he was diagnosed with the terminal degenerative illness ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
