Alcides Rodriguez: Venezuelan Clarinet

A musical conversation with the ASO's bass clarinetist

Atlanta, Ga – Alcides Rodriguez is the bass clarinetist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, but he's taken some time in the last year for some extra-curricular work?an album of music from his native country entitled The Venezuelan Clarinet.

WABE's Lois Reitzes recently sat with the musician?and some of his instruments?for a conversation about where the music on the album came from.

Rodriguez will be performing at Peachtree Presbyterian Church on Monday, July 19th at 8 PM.
