Frank Tavares: The Writer Behind NPR’s Best Known Voice

If you listen to NPR, you're very familiar with his voice.  You hear it every morning on Morning Edition as the guy who reads the funding credits:  ”support for NPR comes from… and from… and from…”  

His name is Frank Tavares–a professor at Southern Connecticut State University and a fiction writer who has just published “The Man Who Built Boxes and other stories” (Bacon Press Books, 2013).  

In a recent conversation, Tavares spoke with WABE's Steve Goss about his long career at NPR and his news book.
