Free College Prep Test in Atlanta Saturday

Atlanta’s City Council President is sponsoring a college board practice test to give students a leg up on taking the SAT or ACT

Caesar Mitchell says he recognizes that college prep test scores in Georgia are lower than the national average especially for minority students. “Preparation is going to certainly give you the advantage, all other things being equal,” says Mitchell. “And that’s across race lines.”

The practice session starts at 7:45 a.m., Saturday, March 29, at North Atlanta High School and runs until noon. There are still a few slots available; you can register onsite.

Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent finalist Meria Carstarphen will join City Council President Mitchell at the event.
