Light and Life: Wynn Bullock at The High

Last week, a new photography exhibition opened at the High Museum of Art. It’s a retrospective of California photographer Wynn Bullock. Bullock is probably best known for his work in The Family of Man, a famous photography exhibition that first opened at the Museum of Modern Art in 1955.

We recently went to The High to speak with Bullock’s daughters, Barbara and Lynn, as well as High photography curator, Brett Abbott. Both daughters were often the subject matter of their father’s photographs. Barbara began by telling us how Bullock became interested in photography.

Broadcast version of the story that originally aired on July 24th, 2014.

Wynn Bullock: Revelations is on display through the beginning of next year at The High Museum of Art. More information on the exhibition may be found here.
