Finding Yourself Onstage – A Conversation With Kenny Leon

Think back to life before the web, when people wrote letters, and bought tickets from a person behind a window-to see a Picasso, you might have to go to the library or hop on a plane. Never in human history has the way we share information been so dramatically altered in such a short time, so we’re asking leaders in the arts community how they’ve adjusted to the times.

Kenny Leon is the artistic director of True Colors Theater Company. He has lately been found as much behind the scenes on Broadway or behind a television camera, as in his theater. His Tony Award-winning production of A Raisin in the Sun and remake of Steel Magnolias for the Lifetime Network are just a few of his recent occupations.

Before looking ahead with Kenny Leon, we took a moment to reflect on the founding of True Colors Theater in 2002.
