WABE’s ‘The Heat Effect’ looks at climate change’s impact on Georgia
On this edition of “Closer Look,” WABE environment editor Molly Samuel and climate reporter Emily Jones discussed the launch of “The Heat Effect,” a new series from WABE examining the impacts of climate change in Georgia.
With Atlanta seeing a growing number of hotter days per year, Jones and Samuel emphasized the gravity of reporting on and addressing climate change – and how the effects of it disproportionately hit low-income areas and communities of color the hardest.
