Atlanta police say they’re now monitoring more than 250 surveillance cameras on Georgia State University’s campus.
Department officials said in a statement Tuesday that the university’s 253 exterior video surveillance cameras have been integrated with the Atlanta Police Department’s Operation Shield Video Integration Center, which includes 6,000 cameras.
Police Chief George Turner says the partnership will help improve security on campus and help police more quickly solve crimes and respond to incidents on campus.
