CAIR Chapter Files Discrimination Complaint Against Delta

The Cincinnati chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations filed a complaint against Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines with the U.S. Department of Transportation yesterday.
The group claims a couple was removed from a Delta flight because they were Muslim.
Karen Dabdoub, executive director of CAIR-Cincinnati, says the couple was headed home from a vacation in Paris when they were singled out.
Allegedly the couple was removed from the plane because a flight attendant felt uncomfortable having them aboard. Dabdoub says Delta also didn’t say why the couple was asked to get off the plane.
CAIR-Cincinnati is asking the DOT to investigate the incident, Dabdoub says, and also wants clearer guidelines as to what is considered suspicious or threatening behavior.
Delta Air Lines said in a statement the company does not discriminate or condone discrimination against its customers. But Delta does say the claim raises concerns and it is looking into the allegation.
