Jeff Filipovits, one of the attorneys representing the family of Manuel Esteban Paez Teran, also known as Tortuguita, says the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s autopsy report doesn’t answer any questions — but it does raise new questions.
Filipovits says the report reveals how Manuel died, but it does not give a timeline of the shooting and whether Manuel had a gun and fired at officers.
Earlier this week, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s autopsy report revealed that the environmental activist did not have gunpowder on their hands and was shot at least 57 times by officers in January near the proposed site for the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center.
