Georgia Development Uses Virtual Reality To Sell Houses

Atlanta Business Chronicle

Pinewood Atlanta Studios is teaming up with Atlanta-based virtual reality studio Trick 3D to bring its plans to life.

This week’s Atlanta Business Chronicle reports Pinewood Forrest, a 234-acre project underway in Fayetteville, will include 600 single family homes, 100 attached townhomes, 600 multi-family homes, a wellness and health center, two hotels and 250,000 square feet of retail space, including 15 restaurants and 25 boutiques.

Pinewood Forrest tapped Trick 3D to help people envision its one-of-a-kind atmosphere through its technology Floorplan Revolution, which uses virtual reality to create 3-D walkthroughs and renderings. Potential buyers will be able visualize themselves walking through the spaces both unfurnished and furnished.

On April 22, Pinewood Forrest will host its opening day, and guests will be able to take virtual tours of the first phase of homes on-site using a VR headset.

Virtual fly-throughs and tours are also available online on the project’s website, where guests can actually reserve specific home sites.

The first homes will be delivered in fall 2017.
