Emory Debuts ‘Atlanta Jewish Film Festival On Campus’
This weekend, Emory University debuts the new “AJFF On Campus” film series.

You can’t have too much of a good thing, as the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival proves.
In recent years, the Festival has expanded their presence beyond the midwinter weeks of screenings to year-round events. This weekend, Emory University debuts the new “AJFF On Campus” film series, a partnership between the AJFF and area colleges in which students select films from past festival years.
Lois Reitzes spoke with Emory University Professor and Chair of Film and Media Studies about “AJFF On Campus,” who said that the students curated six films to be shown over four days, with the general public welcome to all screenings.
Of course, the AJFF’s new initiative isn’t the only film series on campus. This semester’s Emory Cinematheque series is called “Resisting Fascism” and is curated by Dr. Paul Buchholz of the University’s Department of German Studies.
Dr. Buchholz highlighted some of the upcoming films that explore the ways in which fascism has been opposed in the movies since the 1930s.
