7 Atlanta Ice Skating Rinks To Visit This Season

The holidays may seem to come and go quickly, but not all wintry activities will retire with them.

Ice skating is one of those activities that lasts past New Year’s and sometimes into February.  Here are seven icy winter wonderlands located near Atlanta to visit during and after the holiday season.

Skate Atlantic Station

Open until Feb. 18, 2018

Where: Atlantic Station

Pricing: General admission is $15 adults, $12 for kids ages 12 and under, $12 for seniors and $10 for military members. Season passes, which include three skating sessions, are $45.

Every Tuesday night, college students can skate for $12 with their student IDs. Wednesdays are spirit nights, and kids 12 and under sporting their school spirit gear can skate for $10. Skate Atlantic Station is open on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s.

The Battery Atlanta

Open until Jan. 14, 2018

Where: SunTrust Park

Pricing: Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for children on peak nights and $13 for adults and $10 for children on non-peak nights. Skate rentals are included in the admission price.

The Battery Atlanta is a new lifestyle destination built outside SunTrust Park and not too far from Cumberland Mall. Visitors can also shop and dine in the area. When you buy tickets for the ice skating, you can also receive discounts at particular restaurants in the area. Times are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Aquafina Rink At Park Tavern

Open until Feb. 19, 2018

Where: Piedmont Park

Pricing: $15 to $20

Skating is available for all ages at the Park Tavern restaurant from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the weekends. Patrons ages 16 and up can skate from 8:30 p.m. until midnight.

Skate The Sky

Open until Feb. 14, 2018

Where: Ponce City Market

Pricing: $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 5-12 years old

How often do you get to see the Atlanta skyline while skating on a rooftop? Skating begins at the top of every hour at Ponce City Market’s Rooftop Terrace and lasts for 50 minutes. After 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, the rooftop is for skaters ages 21 and up. See the rest of the schedule here.
