MARTA Resumes Service After Man Shot On Train In Atlanta

Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority officials told news outlets that the transit line was suspended Sunday after a man was shot around 6:30 p.m. near the Kensington station on the eastbound line.

An Atlanta transit system has resumed service after a man shot another rider on a train.

Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority officials told news outlets that the transit line was suspended Sunday after a man was shot around 6:30 p.m. near the Kensington station on the eastbound line. Investigators say the victim was shot in the leg.

Police say the suspect fled when the MARTA train stopped at the station.
