Atlanta’s new mayor has asked her entire Cabinet to resign and says she will decide which resignations to accept.

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said in an emailed statement Monday that she was following up on a pledge she made when she took office in January to evaluate the leadership of her administration during her first 100 days.

After asking for the Cabinet members’ resignations, she said she would determine “after further assessment” which ones to accept.

Bottoms noted that she plans to create a leadership team “that best reflects alignment with the goals and opportunities we look to pursue over the next four years.”
