After Georgia’s May 22 primary, several races ended in a runoff, including the race for the GOP nomination for governor.
To be nominated for their party, candidates must win a majority (50 percent plus one) of the votes in the primary election. With no candidate in several races winning a majority of the votes, the top two from each will have to face each other in the primary runoff.
