“I hope to see the natives find a comfortable place … and receive the longevity that they deserve. Because we’ve endured some of the most excruciating times in this area and this community,” T.I. said.

He’s acquired the HN Liquor Store, three houses and a lot of land. The locations are projected to become mixed-use properties complete with retail and housing spaces.

“I am pleased with the progress that has been made, but I’m also, kind of, anxiously awaiting all of the things that are on the horizon. Because we’ve come so far, but we have so far to go,” T.I. said in the documentary.

Within five years, T.I. hopes for these redevelopments to lead to growth and prosperity within the community.

“We survived some of the most treacherous days and nights, weeks, months and years in this community. So if there’s going to be any prosperity to come from this area that those of us who endured those times should reap the benefits first,” T.I. said.
