The decisions Georgia voters make Tuesday when they go to the polls will affect the state for years to come.
For example, Georgia’s next governor will set the policy agenda for state lawmakers for two sessions and oversee the redistricting process after the 2020 U.S. Census. And the race is seen as a litmus test for whether Georgia is solidly Republican or trending Democratic.
WABE government and politics reporter Johnny Kauffman joined Sam Whitehead on “Morning Edition” to talk about what’s at stake for Georgia in the midterms.
