Former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan was one of President-elect Donald Trump’s harshest critics. So much so that his views alienated him from his own Republican party.
Since then, he’s been on a mission to heal the Republican party, in Georgia and nationwide, with an advocacy organization called GOP 2.0.
Now that Trump has won a second turn in the White House, Duncan tells WABE’s “Morning Edition” that he hopes Trump does not fall back on the grievance-filled profile that brought him through the first four years and deeply divided Republicans, especially the Georgia GOP.
