With lineage connected to the great writer Edgar Allen Poe, the Grammy award-winning duo Larkin Poe at times may evoke the gritty, gothic atmosphere of their ancestor. Sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell of Larkin Poe are originally from Atlanta and now live in Nashville. Their new album “Bloom” is out now, and they’ll perform at the Eastern on May 30.

They recently joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to share more about “Bloom.”

The creation of “Bloom” marked a turning point in the songwriting process of the sisters, as they collaborated fully on every track for the very first time.
