With a bandage above his left eye and a large, red welt below it, former President Jimmy Carter met with a cheering crowd Monday morning at a Habitat for Humanity build site in Nashville.
Carter’s appearance comes about a day after he fell at home, requiring 14 stitches.
During that appearance, the former president and his wife Rosalynn gave an increasingly rare glimpse into their private moments, how they feel about each other and how they feel about getting older.
