Some of Atlanta’s professional sports teams are welcoming the idea.
But efforts to legalize any type of gambling have traditionally been met with criticism from those who view it as damaging to a community.
Sports business reporter Eric Jackson wrote the cover story in this week’s Atlanta Business Chronicle. It’s called “Georgia’s Big Gamble,” and he joined “All Things Considered“ on Friday to talk about it.
