Ben Schwartz is the comedian and actor you might recognize as the hilarious, nightclub-attired braggadocio Jean Ralphio Saperstein in the hit TV series “Parks and Recreation.” He’s a master of improv and creating outrageous characters on the spot. L.A. audiences have flocked to his live improv events for years, and now “Ben Schwartz & Friends” is on the road again and stopping at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on March 15.

Schwartz joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes to discuss his latest projects and the touring improv show.

“I’ve been doing it for a long time, I came out of the womb and said, ‘Let me get a suggestion,’ and just started doing it right there in front of the OBGYN,” said Schwartz. He has worked in improv since 2002, even creating an improvised comedy special on Netflix titled “Middleditch & Schwartz.”
