Atlanta’s Center For Puppetry Arts Brings ‘Stellaluna’ To The Stage

Written and illustrated by Janell Cannon, “Stellaluna” is the beloved children’s story about a baby bat fostered by a loving family of birds. Since its publication in 1993, “Stellaluna” has sold millions of copies, been translated into dozens of languages, and the audiobook won a Grammy.

Now the story is on stage at Atlanta’s Center for Puppetry Arts. “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes was joined by Jon Ludwig, the Center’s artistic director, along with the author Janell Cannon.

Stellaluna runs through March 8 at the Center for Puppetry Arts. Saturday’s 1 p.m. performance will include a post-show Q&A with the author and director. There will be a book signing before the show at noon.
