Mubarak, Egypt’s Ousted President, Is Dead At 91

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was a supporter of Israel and took a hard line against terrorism, but eventually U.S. administrations began to pressure the Egyptian leader over human-rights abuses.

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who was ousted from power in the early days of the Arab Spring, has died at the age of 91.

Egypt’s government has announced three days of public mourning for Mubarak, who is to be buried in a military funeral.
